- Evangelical Alliance
The Evangelical Alliance is an organisation of evangelical Christian
groups whose membership includes denominations, churches,
organisations and individuals. As part of a movement ‘uniting to
change society’ the Alliance promotes unity and truth, acts as an
evangelical voice to the state, society and the wider church, and
works collaboratively with Alliance members and other evangelicals,
to present Christ credibly as good news for spiritual and social
transformation.

London School of Theology is an interdenominational, evangelical
theological college offering Cert HE, Dip HE, undergraduate and
postgraduate degrees in Theology, Theology & Counselling, and
Theology Music & Worship, as well as a variety of open learning
courses.

- The Alpha Course
The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the
Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten weeks. Over 2 million

- St John's Church, Boxmoor
St John's is an Anglican centre for Christian worship & fellowship.
Their congregation includes those who have been life-long members as
well as those who have recently come to faith and those who are
exploring Christianity.
- Hemel Community Church
A community church based in Haven House, Hemel Hempstead Community Church are members of
the Partners in Harvest family of churches.
- New Life Pentecostal Church
Part of the Assemblies of God in Great Britain, New Life Pentecostal
has been a vibrant part of the community since before the Second World War.
- Carey Baptist Church
Carey Baptist Church is a town centre church headed up by Rev
Stephen Wood and gathering Baptist Christians from around Hemel.
- St George's United Reformed Church
St George's, headed up by Rev Jane Wade, is a church welcoming people
of all ages from any church tradition.
- St Barnabas CofE Church
The church's vision is to be a place that proclaims Christ to the
community of Adeyfield and that has a place at the centre of the
community.
- St Mary's Church
St Mary's church was built over 800 years ago but it still part of
the living community of the Town. It is currently presided over by
the Dean of Hemel Hempstead, The Rev Peter Cotton.
- Adeyfield Free Church
Adeyfield Free is a lively URC church with a mixture of people of
all ages, ideas and backgrounds.
- New Horizons Christian Fellowship
New Horizons Christian Fellowship is a church with a contemporary style &
approach. They are very active in seeking social transformation
through running various outreach projects, educational & training
programmes.
- Belmont Road Baptist Church
Services blend biblical and thematic teaching with a mix of worship
styles drawing much on contemporary worship ‘Spring Harvest’ style and
also accommodating more traditional tastes.
- HISGEM
His Grace Evangelistic Ministries is a grouping of churches & affiliated Christian
ministries set up by David & Titi Oluwadare. Currently meeting at Apsley
Community Centre.

Hemel Ministries
- DENS
The Dacorum Emergency Night Shelter is an independent homeless
charity started by Christians in Hemel working with single homeless
people between the ages of 18-65 yrs. DENS provides emergency
overnight accommodation, specialist counselling and a Day Centre for
people with specific needs.
- Discovery
Discovery is a schools outreach program set
up by Andrew Masters to communicate the Christian faith in schools,
assemblies and lessons to primary-school age children.
- Crossover
Crossover is a Hemel-based organisation whose aim is to enable young
people to develop a relevant & life-changing Christian faith by
engaging in schools work & running youth groups.
- Outreach Across
Africa
Outreach Across Africa is a charitable organisation set up by Andy
Groome to bring support, help, relief & the Christian message across
the continent of Africa.

Dean & Ruth Such are local Christian workers who have moved from
Hemel to Bolivia for two years to engage in Christian work with the
Latin Link organisation.
- The Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed is a local Christian bookshop stocking books,
Bibles, CDs, cards and other Christian resources for the local
community.
- Christians in Football
CIF is a national Christian sporting organisation working from Hemel
to see every area in the UK have an effective programme of
church-based evangelism, discipleship and training throughout the
culture of non-league football.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in Hemel is a debt counselling
charity headed up by Centre Manager, Owen Cooper, helping families
release the pressure of debt through a combination of advice and
financial education.

engages with the community through sports, child care, life skills
courses, prison workshops & programmes for vulnerable children &
families. The Academy runs

- Churches Together in Hemel
Churches Together in Hemel is an expression of united Christian
witness & service across churches in Hemel Hempstead. New
Church Hemel actively supports the work of Churches Together and
plays a significant role in promoting its activities across the
local community.

Pray Hemel
Pray Hemel is a monthly prayer meeting set up by Penny Crosswell for
all Christians in Hemel Hempstead and meets in various churches and
meeting places around the town. Meeting on the first Saturday of
every month from 8am-9.30pm, the morning usually starts with a light
breakfast and is a beautiful expression of church unity. Find out

- 24-7 Hemel
24-7 Hemel was a prayer movement across churches in Hemel Hempstead that ran
for a period of six months. It came in response to an
extraordinarily intense period of church unity that occurred between
church leaders who were fervently praying together in response to a
call to come together by the Mayor of the Borough in Sep 2005 just a few months
before the Buncefield Explosion. 24-7 prayer across the town ran
almost continuously from Oct 2006 to Apr 2007.

coming from the IHOP people in Kansas, Missouri.

Walk of Witness by Mike Vickers is taking place from June 01
2008 to September 2008.
